About Me
My name is Jonah, I am a Freshman at Concordia University, Irvine. I am (currently) majoring in Biblical Languages with a Philosophy minor. I am creating this online journal so that my friends and family back home can see what’s up with me, and so I can work on my writing skills. I will post thoughts from classes, achievements, milestones, advice for my friends who have not graduated, and the like. Some of my hobbies, passions, and interests are Apologetics, Backpacking, Country Music, Detective Books&Shows, Early Church History, EDC, Fly Fishing, Forensic Science, Galatians 2, Greek, Guitar, Hebrew, Karate (Currently a Third-Degree Brown Belt), Martin Luther, Missions Work, Near Eastern Archaeology, Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Religion, Psalms 31&32, Reading, Travel, Vocation, and 1 Corinthians 1:17-2:4

About the Blog
I hope to track the development of my education in science, theology, and apologetics on this blog. I plan on maintaining this blog through College. During this time I will be blogging on a variety of topics, mainly using what I learn in Chemistry, Biblical Languages, and General Ed Classes as a spring-board for different areas of Apologetics and Theology. I hope this site is useful to you:) It is useful to me as an outlet and motivator for writing down ideas I have and recording quotes from books I read. If someday I go into the field of Apologetics as my primary vocation this blog will also be useful in training me how to manage a website and write informative and interesting content.
***I ask for grace and patience as I am solidifying my theological foundations. I must confess that as a sinner my mental faculties are bent towards myself and my sin. I am imperfect. My Savior Jesus Christ is the flawless Lamb of God. My righteousness is from Him, and in Him and the Bible are pure truth. I am a young theologian and will accept correction for older and wiser (or for that matter, younger) Christians. When I err, I ask for grace and correction that flows from a desire for truth to prevail.
Soli Deo Gloria,

About the Blog's Name
The blog title is based on 1 Peter 3:15, where Peter tells his readers to always be ready to make a defense (an "Apologian" in Greek) for the hope that is in them. My title is a play on that phrase.
